As a Program Consultant at Village Capital, Ahmed supports the design and delivery of regional and global programs. Over the past two years, he worked to support 100 DataTech startups of the IBM Hyper Protect Accelerator that leverage sensitive data to create access to digital services. Moreover, he developed an early-stage version of VilCap’s investment readiness tool, Abaca, to accommodate the needs of early-stage startups/entrepreneurs in developing regions. 
 
Before moving to Village Capital, Ahmed worked in the humanitarian-development field with national/international NGOs in Egypt, focusing on economic empowerment and inclusion programs, serving more than 3,000 Refugees, migrants, and Egyptians from vulnerable communities. Additionally, he co-founded a FinTech startup, ElGameya, a digital peer-to-peer lending solution for the unbanked.
